The Patient Quality Assurance Coordinator - Florida-Georgia-Texas interacts directly with patients, office staff, Legal, Regional Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, and dentists to coordinate resolutions to patient concerns received at the corporate office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Creates and monitors inquiries utilizing the Inquiry Management System in response to incoming calls and emails from patients, Office Managers, District Managers, Regional Vice Presidents or other Coast Dental departments.
  • Researches all Better Business, attorney or other agency letters, relating to Patient Relation issues. Contact all parties involved. Notify the organization and /or attorney in writing of a decision or resolution.
  • Conducts preliminary reviews of patient records and prepares summary for any clinical concern requiring review by a clinical director; assists in the facilitation of resolution.
  • Conducts preliminary account audits and prepares summary for review by patient financial services for any patient financial dispute; assist in the facilitation of resolution.
  • Acts as liaison between Patient, office, Coast Dental provider, Coast Dental Legal Department as well as all district and regional managers.
  • Schedules visits to Coast Dental locations for Office Manager training utilizing Power Point Presentations. Provides offices and Coast Dental Clinicians recent copies of the Board of Dentistry Rules and Regulations for that state.
  • Reviews patient records requested by Coast Dental Legal Department, insuring records accuracy and content.
  • Attends public hearings of the Board of Dentistry for the given state.
  • Utilizes all available methods to recognize patterns and areas of concern to improve quality of patient care.
  • When requested by Coast Dental Legal Counsel, attends and represents Coast Dental during mediation of Small Claims cases with authority to negotiate and settle.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure, Certification)
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related dental office experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, Word, Outlook, and knowledge in Excel and Power Point.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.

The Patient Quality Assurance Coordinator - Florida-Georgia-Texas works in areas that are highly visible and designed and furnished to make a good impression. Most work stations are clean, well-lighted, and relatively quiet. Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
