Dental Care Alliance, one of the Top 50 growth companies on Florida's Gulf Coast, continues to add to its Finance Department at its Lakewood Ranch, Florida location. DCA now operates 280 dental offices across 13 states from its corporate headquarters.

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant to be responsible for reconciling collections for multiple dental office locations and helping to create efficiencies in a fast growing environment. This individual should have the ability to perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of financial transactions. This individual will work with colleagues within the Finance Department on reporting reconciliation results to Regional and Corporate management.

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting records
  • Prepare Account Reconciliations for multiple accounts and locations
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Provides detail analyses and explanations for all transactions
  • Maintain supporting work papers for internal and external audits
  • Develops and implements efficient accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
  • Communicate with Office Managers and Regional Management on reconciliation issues and depository policies/procedures
  • Construct ad-hoc reports and assist with projects as needed

  • Strong computer and business solution software skills
  • Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
  • Strong analytical skills for researching and identifying discrepancies


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-2 years of Accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel is required
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards and principles
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills for researching and identifying discrepancies
  • Experience working with accounting software, (Great Plains is a plus)
