We are seeking a full-time Facilities Coordinator to work at our corporate office located in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Our Facilities Coordinator will be directing and managing the repair, maintenance and cleaning for our 280 facilities through a group of vendors and contractors. The Facilities Coordinator we select will have at least 2 - 3 years of commercial facility coordination experience; multi-site experience is strongly preferred.

As one of the country's largest dental support organizations, we have more than 280 affiliated dental practices throughout thirteen states. Formed in 1991, Dental Care Alliance is a ground-breaking dental support organization created by dentists, and focused on improving the well-being of both patients and dentists.

  • Manage and direct contractors, vendors or consultants to ensure all facilities criteria are met; including repair, maintenance and cleaning.
  • Partners and coordinates with Operations to assure all facility issues are resolved.
  • Develops scorecards for vendors and contractors.
  • Re-evaluates and negotiates vendor contracts and makes recommendations.
  • Formulates and implements preventive maintenance programs.
  • Oversees cleaning and maintenance of facilities.
  • Communicates resource needs and facilities plans.

Desired Skills:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree desired.
  • A minimum of 2 - 3 years' commercial facilities management experience; multi-site experience highly desired.
  • Ability and understanding of various Federal, State and Local codes and regulations involving facilities.
  • Ability to manage service contractors and vendors including the negotiation of contracts, agreements and guarantees.
  • Ability to set priorities and make appropriate decisions on repairs or assignments, contingent upon availability of manpower or budget.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Possess strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Be self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity and the ability to analyze performance data and generate reports.
  • Computer literate.
  • Periodic overnight travel.
