We are looking for an outgoing, motivated dental assistant with at least 2 years Orthodontics experience who will treat our patients with respect and professionalism in our Twincourt Trail office. We are expanding our team to keep up with our growing patient base, so we have full time open with the following schedule:

8:00am to 5:00pm
8:00am to 5:00pm
8:00am to 5:00pm
8:00am to 5:00pm
8:00am to 5:00pm

The Orthodontic Assistant needs to have the ability to work independently, while still functioning as a team to complete all tasks in the Orthodontic office in a timely manner. They must be personable, as they are the major point of contact with the patient, and will need to make them comfortable both physically and emotionally. The best orthodontic assistant enjoys working with people, helping them improve their self-esteem by improving their smiles. Additionally, they need to need to have a keen attention to detail

Orthodontic Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Collect diagnostic data for Orthodontist
  • Take impressions
  • Take digital and/or traditional x-rays
  • Prepare Invisalign diagnostic data
  • Take digital diagnostic photographs, include intra-oral view
  • Change, Trim, wires/brackets
  • Size bands
  • Uphold sterilization procedures at chair side
  • Sterilize instruments
  • Prepare teeth for placement of brackets
  • Pour up and trim models
  • Remove Appliances
  • Collect post op data for Orthodontist
  • Fabricate Retainers
  • Provide instructions on oral Hygiene and care of braces, and other appliances used in the office.
  • Provide instruction in proper wear and care of retainers

  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) in the state of Florida

  • Radiology certificate required

  • 2 years experience within dental office preferred
