Legal Assistant
The Legal Department is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to help create, organize, track and maintain employment contracts, information and databases for licensed professionals. This individual will be a member of the Legal team and will work under the direction of the Corporate Paralegal. The Legal Assistant will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, management, clients, outside vendors and contractors and additional administrative support staff in the Support Office to provide related support integral to the organization's operations.

Responsibilities:

- Draft (using templates), maintain, and track various employment, compensation, confidentiality and arbitration agreements for licensed individuals.
- Draft, review, and process department communication inclusive of correspondence, emails, and phone calls. Handle transmitting documents via Fedex, regular mail, etc. if necessary.
- Maintain several databases and confidential reports.
- Analyze and propose improvement to such processes in connection with such reports and databases.

Qualifications:

- Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2+ years of related legal, contracts and/or payroll experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 or later, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat, software applications, commonly-used internet browsers and use of standard office equipment.
- Basic understanding of the laws in relation to the employment contracts and compensation of licensed professionals, familiarity with corporate structures, entities and legal terminology, and accurate grammar, spelling and verbal communication skills.

Desired:

- Associate degree in related field, paralegal certification or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Familiarity with SalesForce, Apttus, X-Author and/or Workshare is a plus.
